Hawklords formed during one of Hawkwind’s inactive years. They only released this one album, 25 Years On, and this song “Psi Power” is actually a slightly different version than the Hawkwind original. I prefer this version because it has a sort of Lou Reed Transformer-era vibe to it.

for some reason, been wary of this album for years. it was always the only one left in the Hawkwind bins when i was younger. my mistake for not checkin’ it out earlier. what a great track! perfect way to start a Wenzday. thanks Bomarr
i have to be honest though…the record as a whole isn’t so great. there are a few gems, but overall, this is one of the better songs.
